Trekking Tour Saturday
Along legendary hiking stretches we get to know the fantastisc nature.
First we go to the Pas de Gairou, you will learn something about the genesis
of the canyon and the mountains, to look down to the river from a breath
taking high view point.
Than we walk through the gnarly forest, under the shadow of the old oaks,
directly to our climbing stage wall, the Lucky Luke.
A view over the lake, the villages les Salles and Aiguines will faszinate us.
After some refreshment at the fountain in Aiguines and a visit
of little shop full of Provence Honey we will eat some of the best italian ice cream.
Along some large meadows we enjoy our way back home.

Canyon of Artuby Sunday
We descent into one of the most magical and most enormous neighbour
Canyon of the Verdon: the Canyon of Artuby. After a minibus transfer
along the left gorgeside, which offers unforgettable panorama and ends
at a 180 meters high bridge, which arches over the aim of our
hiking tour, we descent to the bottom of the gorge along a secret
footpath. It goes down along rocky stairs, winding along the steep
canyon. Reached the bottom, the enormous power of water is revealed.
It has divided a mountain in millions of years in a real artistic way.
Gnarly curves, huge labyrinths and a lot of bottle necks whereever you look.
Underneath the huge bridge the Canyon enlarges a little, with some
luck, we might watch some bungge jumpers (not July and August).
Along our further way, we might pass some water holes, left by the last rain.
Depending on the water level, we might swim till the Verdon, in that case we will
wear neopren shorties and store our stuff in waterproof cases.
At the Mescla (french for mixture) both canyons meet: the Artuby and the Verdon.
We cross the Verdon a few times, and after some hundred meters upstream
a not topable ascent is waiting for us: Under the amazed eyes of other tourists,
making a stop at the vantage point of Mescla, we climb up the canyon wall
approximately 200 meters. Watching down along our way, astonishment is
guaranteed, for us and our speechless spectators.

Climbing Monday
We are in one of europes largest climbing sites, so we go climbing!
The Verdon area offers about 1400 different routes in all difficulties,
so everyone will be satisfied. For those who did never climb, we
offer a beginners stage, which is held at the "Lucky Luke",
which was especially equipped for beginners. Our instructor
teaches you all the necessary things, like knots, safety techniques,
rope handling and climbing techniques.
If you do know the safety techniques, you will get a lot of tips
how to climb or will learn more about the materials.
The wide range of climbing difficulties at the "Lucky Luke" offers
routes for beginners as well as for advanced climbers.
If you like, you can bring your own equipment.

Moonlight Rappel Tuesday
By canoe, we go into the great Verdon Canyon through the darkness,
our frontal lamps are giving some light and the moon leads our way.
To keep off afraidness, we stay close together! After 45 minutes under an
unforgettable starry sky, we will reach a little creek, where we are landing.
We climb up the hill a little bit, crawl through some bushes, to stand infront
of a huge wall with mounted steel chains.
After having fixed our climbing ropes, you will put on your climbing
harness, helmet and neopren shorty and start rapelling yourself down
to the Verdon river. After a short slope, you move over the edge into the
pure darkness: 30 meters rapelling without any contact to the rock, which ends
directly in the water. From the bottom some lamps lead your way and close to you
your hut-neighbour rapells himself. The soon reached flood will cool down
your nerves immediatly.
During our way home, we experience the tremendousnes of the 700 meters high Canyon
walls in total silence.

Ridge of Vernis Wednesday
At the end of the Season 2003, we discovered and rebuilt and old and
forgotten path, to offer you another top class highlight:
The hiking along the Ridge of Vernis, the mountain which boarders the
enormous Verdon Canyon on the left riverside.
After 250 meters of altitude, we are able to catch the first views
down to the river, preparing us for what is waiting for us the next
two and a half kilometers:
Intoxicating panorama over the wideness of the lake and the really endless
plain of Valensole and breathtaking views into the gorge. From the partly 600
meters, which we are enthroned above the Verdon, sometimes the first 300 are
absolutely vertical - so feelings of dizziness and unique pictures are guaranteed.
Due to the fact that our path gets very close to the abyss, several times,
afraidness of heigth ist the wrong thing to have for that activity!
Our aim, a well known point of view can not shock us anymore!!
For our way home, we will take our Minibus.

Verdon Vetical Thursday
A mixture of abseiling and an aquatic hike
From the Belvedere of Mayreste we start with our mterials -
canyoning harness, helmet, neopren suite, waterproof boxes -
to a half our hike along the flank of the canyon.
By now we do recognize to which depth we will go down.
After a little climbing down, 200 meters of abseiling
in several steps
are waiting for us.
The most exiting part of the trip are the three final length,
during them the Verdon river at the bottom is perfectly visible.
To avoid from abseiling into the water, we build a little
tyrolienne, on which we suspend over the river.
After our lunch hour the wet part of the activity starts,
we swim along the Verdon.
We put on our neopren suite, the rest of our stuff in the waterproof
boxes, and then hundreds of meters of faszinating an exciting
swimming completes our great experience. A little diving underneath
big rocks, huge natural swimming pools filled with unreal green water,
some rocks like diving boards and really narrow areas between vertical
walls are our compny.
After two hours of swimming fun, a half hour walking leads us back
to the street, where our minibus is waiting.

Canyoning Friday
Our most exciting adventure with the danger of getting abused!!
Depending on weather and water level in the canyons,
we offer different trips. We explore narrow canyons which were formed
inbetween millions of years by the erosion of water, streaming through them.
We walk, climb, jump, swim and rapell all the obstacles and difficulties.
We conquer natural slides, water falls up to 50 meters height, narrow passages
and crystal clear pools. Our maximum is seven guests per guide.
We are well equipped with neoprensuite, canyoning harness, helmet, rapelling
device, special ropes and safety equipment.
Our guides are educated and checked by the European
Canyoning Commission, to guarantee the highest safety level.
Of course there is a special briefing before each tour,
so you do not need any experience in canyoning.

Waterproof camera Canyoning etc
To show your friends at home what you have experienced!
New since 2007: We replaced our analog cameras with brandnew
Casio Exilim EX-S 600. Perfectly fitting is a waterproof case,
so you can use the camera up to 40 meters of depth.
A few technicals: 6 million pixels, 512 MB, enough for about 130
pictures in the highest resolution, factor 3 optical zoom,
batterie power for about 300 pictures, video in 640 by 480 pixels
possible.
After the activity, we will write your pictures on a CD (thats the reason for
a 512 MB card), or you may use your own SD or MMC card.
During the whole tour, you transport the camera ready to use
in your neopren suite, you can photgraph every rappel,
in the water, every jump and all the excitements, to
astonish your friends at home!
Simply forget the one way waterproof camera stuff, which take blurred,
dimly focussed and wrongly exposed pictures. With the Canon you are able to
enlarge your takes up to poster size withot a loss of quality!

Rafting Tuesday
NEW since 2008 !
Due to regulary water releases at the dam of the lake above
the verdon canyon, the verdon is a river with reliable rafting
conditions, which stay the same nearly the whole season.
The best rafting stretch is the part between castellane and the
point sublime, here we find different trips of different
difficulties. The distance is above one hour from our action center.
We offer you that spectacle between high mountain walls,
feel the power of 10.000 liters of water, which run through
the verdon per second, the raft moves over turbiles, shoots down the steps
and turn at rocks in the river.
The crewmembers - of course you are one of them - shout and yell on
every move and get totally wet.
Of course you will be equiped with all the nescessary materials like
helmet, paddel, neoprensuite ans swimming west, you only have to bring
a bathing suite, a towel and a pair of baskets.
A briefing of all the techniques is included, the whole trip takes about
three and a half hours.
Attention: the activity requires a self organised transfer to Castellane!

Bungeejump Bridge of Artuby Sunday
Feel the ultimate kick! Risk the 180 meters high - or better said
deeeeep Bungeejump from the Bridge over the Artuby Canyon. The rest
of the group will watch you with photo- and videocamera!
You will drive with all the others to the Canyonhiking, but than you
are prepared to the most hazardous excitment, meanwhile the rest of us
will go down to the bottom of the gorge by foot.
When you look over the bridge railing, the canyon ground seems to be
too narrow, nevertheless you will dive head forward into the depth
in a few moments, only heald from a thick latex rope:
You speed toward the ground, the head wind rushes in your ears and the seconds
till the rope takes tension seem to be endless -
your adrenalin explodes from there to onehundredfifty percent!
Shortly before reaching the bottom, the resilience will slow you down
gently, a few times you swing up and down, than the Bungee team will
leave you down back to earth with shaking knees.
While all the other jumpers take the normal way back to the street,
you will coplete your day by hiking through the Canyon of Artuby.
The Bungeejump ist the most elegant way to avoid the descent!

Paragliding your choice
Everyone with the willingness to fly like an eagle
is welcome at our paragliding spot, which is one of the most known
spots in France. Your car brings you along a fantastic countryside
up to 1200 meters above sealevel, to a starting point which leads
professionel pilots to a 200 km flight. Flying "tandem" means you are
attached to one of those professionels to enjoy a twenty minutes flight
with unbelievable views over the "lac de St. Croix", the mountains
and the nature. You feel like a bird, everything underneath you looks like
a model. After a few minutes you loose the senses for time and space, feel
yourself like in a big big cinema, and after landing you canīt stop smiling
for the next hours!

Mountainbiking
Our mountainbike freaks simply bring their bikes! Do not forget your
helmet and a repair kit and then you can experience the marvellous
Provence much closer to the nature than in a car.
Endless fields of lavender
will accompany your way over hills, through gnarly forests and
along your stretch full of bends.
Make a stop at the best pan cake shop or enjoy an italic ice cream in Aiguines.
Take a few kilometers along the streets or fight with 70 kilometers distance
and more than 1000 meters of altitude.

For 2008 our programm contains much more activities then last year, from
now on we offer two different action packages, alternating weekly.
So we have odd and even weeks, similar to the
calendar weeks.
This page describes the activities of the "Full Action"
package in even weeks, which are underleayed dark on our
dates page.
Your advantage: more choice and if you stay two weeks, the allaround
adventure!!
Important
Please bring a pair of baskets which are allowed to get whet during some
of our activities, e.g. canyoning.
A more detailled description of all the activities will be
given during our information evening on each saturday, or look at our
pictures page.
